Arguably, no one has ever been more active in promoting and funding research on coronavirus vaccines for Bill Gates and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. From sponsoring a simulation of a global coronavirus pandemic, a few weeks before the Wuhan epidemic was announced, to financing numerous corporate initiatives for the synthesis of a new vaccine for an apparently new virus, in the front row we always find Mr. Gates. What does this actually mean?
We have to admit that Bill Gates had been, at the very least, prophetic. He had maintained for years that a devastating global pandemic would come, in which we would find ourselves unprepared. On March 18, 2015, Gates had spoken to TED [Technology Entertainment Design] about the epidemic that was going on in Vancouver at the time. That day he wrote on his blog: “ I just gave a short talk on a topic I recently learned a lot about: epidemics. The Ebola epidemic in West Africa is a tragedy: as of this writing, more than 10,000 people have died . " Gates then added: "As terrible as this epidemic may be, the next one could be much worse. The world is simply not prepared to face certain types of pathologies, for example a particularly virulent flu that affects a large number of people very quickly. Of all the things that could kill 10 or more million people, the most likely is an epidemic . "
In the same year, 2015, Bill Gates wrote an article for the New England Journal of Medicine entitled " The Next Epidemic: Lessons from Ebola ." In the piece he described a special class of drugs that “ would provide patients with a series of particular RNA-based substances that would allow them to produce specific proteins (including antibodies). Although this is an absolutely new field, it is nevertheless promising, because it is possible that safe therapy can be designed and produced on a large scale relatively quickly. Finally, more in-depth basic research and the progress of companies like Moderna and CureVac could make this approach a key tool in the fight against epidemics. Moderna and CureVac today receive funding from the Gates Foundation and are leading the race to develop a certified COVID-19 vaccine based on mRNA.
2017 funding from CEPI
A global flu-like pandemic is indeed something Gates and his well-stocked foundation have been preparing for years. In 2017, during the Davos World Economic Forum, Gates launched an initiative called CEPI, Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, together with the governments of Norway, India, Japan, Germany and with the participation of the Wellcome Trust of the United Kingdom. The stated aim was "to accelerate the development of the vaccines that we will need to contain the outbreak of future epidemics ." In 2019, Bill Gates, along with his foundation, had continued booming with his pandemic scenarios. He had made a documentary broadcast by Netflix where a disturbing scenario was assumed. In the video, an episode of the series " Explained ," made the hypothesis of a market of perishable products in China where live and dead animals were piled up and from which originated a high mortality virus that then spread globally. Gates plays the part of the expert in the video and warns: “ If you think of something that could kill millions of people, a pandemic is the greatest risk. " He said that if nothing had been done to prepare for the pandemics, the time would come when the world would look back and regret not having invested more in potential vaccines. This was a few weeks before the world learned of bats and a raw meat market in Wuhan, China .
In October 2019, the Gates Foundation had partnered with the World Economic Forum and the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security to implement what had been called the simulation of an " imaginary scenario , " which involved some of the leading figures in the public health. It was called Event 201.
As described on its website, Event 201 simulated “the sudden spread of a new zoonotic coronavirus transmitted by bats to pigs and then to humans and which eventually quickly becomes transmissible from person to person, causing a serious pandemic. The pathogen and the resulting disease are largely modeled on SARS, but [the virus] is more transmissible in the community by people with mild symptoms."
In the Event 201 scenario, the disease originates in a pig farm in Brazil, spreads to poor regions and eventually explodes into an epidemic. The disease is spread by air traffic in Portugal, the United States, China and beyond, to the point that no country is able to control it anymore. The scenario, in the first year, does not provide for the availability of a vaccine. "As the entire human population is contagious, the cumulative number of cases increases exponentially during the first months of the pandemic, doubling every week ."
The simulation then ends after 18 months, after this imaginary coronavirus has caused 65 million deaths. “ The pandemic starts to slow down due to the decrease in the number of infectious vectors. Participants in Event 201
As interesting as the imaginary scenario of the prescient Event 201 of the Gates-Johns Hopkins of October 2019 may be, the list of speakers invited to participate in the imaginary global response is equally interesting.
Among the selected " participants ", as they were called, was George Fu Gao. In particular, Prof. Gao is the director, since 2017, of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Another of the protagonists of the Gates-sponsored event was Rear Admiral Stephen C. Redd, director of the Public Health Preparation and Response Office at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The CDC itself is at the center of a huge scandal for the lack of adequate tests for the recognition of COVID-19 cases in the United States. The preparation of this institution has proved far from commendable.
Rounding out the group was Adrian Thomas, the vice president of the highly talked-about Johnson & Johnson, the giant medical and pharmaceutical company. Thomas is responsible for pandemic preparedness for J&J, including developing vaccines for Ebola, Dengue and HIV. And there was Martin Knuchel, head of crisis, emergency and business continuity management for Lufthansa Group Airlines. Lufthansa was one of the most important airlines to cut flights drastically during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.
All this shows that Bill Gates was very worried about the possibility of a global pandemic outbreak that, according to him, could have caused even more deaths than those attributed to the mysterious Spanish influence of 1918, a warning that he had already launched in the last five years or more. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is also involved in funding for the search for new vaccines that use the brand new CRISPR gene editing technique and other technologies.
Coronavirus Vaccines
Gates Foundation funds promote vaccine development on all fronts. Inovio Pharmaceuticals, Pennsylvania, received $ 9 million from CEPI, the Gates-funded Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, to develop a vaccine, INO-4800, whose human trials will begin in April, a period of time suspiciously short. As if that wasn't enough, the Gates Foundation has just given the company another $ 5 million to develop a proprietary 'smart' device for intradermal administration of the new vaccine .
In addition, funds from the Gates Foundation, through CEPI, are funding the development of a completely new type of vaccination method, known as messenger RNA or mRNA.
[CEPI] is also co-financing the Cambridge, Massachusetts biotechnology company, Moderna Inc., to develop a vaccine against Wuhan's new coronavirus, now called SARS-CoV-2. Moderna's other partner is the American National Institute for Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), which is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The director of NIAID is dr. Anthony Fauci, Trump administration's emergency response service manager. The interesting thing about the Fauci-Gates-Moderna coronavirus vaccine, mRNA-1273, is that it was synthesized in a matter of weeks, not years, and on February 24th it was immediately transferred to Fauci's NIH to be tested on guinea pigs. human, not on mice as normal. Another noteworthy admission of Moderna on its website is the disclaimer, “ Special note relating to forward-looking statements:… These risks, uncertainties and other factors include, among others:… the fact that there has never been a commercial product approved for use that uses mRNA technology . ” In other words, absolutely not tested for human health and safety.
Another biotechnology company that uses this untested mRNA technology to develop a COVID-19 vaccine is a German company, CureVac. Since 2015, CureVac has received funds from the Gates Foundation to develop its mRNA technology . In January, Gates CEPI had granted [to this company] over $ 8 million to develop an mRNA vaccine against the new coronavirus .
Add to this the fact that the Gates Foundation and related entities such as CEPI are the major funders of the public-private body known as WHO and that its current director, Tedros Adhanom, the first WHO director in history without a medical degree, he had worked on HIV for years with the Gates Foundation when he held the office of minister in the Ethiopian government. So we see that there is practically no area of the current coronavirus pandemic where there are no traces of the omnipresent Gates. If this is for the good of humanity or a cause for concern, only time will tell.
